Introduction to Siteline's Reports

Written by Bradley LaFave

Siteline’s reports help you monitor billing, collections, forecasting, and project health in real time. Whether you need a quick company-wide pulse check or a deeper look at a specific workflow, Siteline gives you the visibility to stay ahead and take action faster.

Reporting access is role-based. Admins can view all company projects, while non-admin users only see the jobs they have access to. That gives leadership a broader view while keeping day-to-day users focused on the work that matters most to them.

How to access reports

Go to Reporting in your Siteline navigation bar. From there, use the dropdown or tabs to open the report you want to view.

Siteline’s core reports include:

Additional downloadable reports include:

Overview report

The Overview report gives you a high-level snapshot of billing, collections, project health, and outstanding vendor lien waivers across your jobs. It is the best place to start when you want a quick pulse check on how things are going overall.

Use it to answer questions like:

  • What did we bill this month?

  • How much billing is still in draft?

  • Which projects have not billed yet?

  • Are any pay apps overdue?

  • Are there missing lien waivers?

  • How are projects trending by Snapshot score?

Billing report

The Billing report gives you a month-by-month view of billing activity across projects. Use it to understand what has been billed, what is still in draft, how much retainage has been billed, and how much contract value remains to bill.

Use it to answer questions like:

  • Which jobs still need to be billed this month?

  • Are we at risk of missing a billing deadline?

  • What has already been submitted?

  • How much billing is still in draft?

A/R Aging report

The A/R Aging report helps you manage collections by showing outstanding balances across aging buckets. Use it to understand what is still unpaid, how long it has been outstanding, and where collection risk is building.

Use it to answer questions like:

  • How much A/R is currently outstanding?

  • Which balances are past due?

  • Which receivables are aging into higher-risk buckets?

  • Which projects or GCs are consistently slow to pay?

  • What should we prioritize first in collections?

Billing Forecast report

The Billing Forecast report shows what you expect to bill in the coming months. Use it to plan ahead, manage workloads, and spot gaps before they become problems.

Use it to answer questions like:

  • What are we expecting to bill next month?

  • Are we falling short of projections?

  • Which teams or offices are carrying the most forecasted billing?

  • Where are we seeing slippage?

Cash Forecast report

The Cash Forecast report helps you understand when billed work is likely to turn into cash. It uses contract terms, GC behavior, and payment timing trends to estimate expected cash inflows.

Use it to answer questions like:

  • When are we likely to get paid?

  • Do we have enough incoming cash to cover upcoming needs?

  • Which invoices have predicted payment dates that have already passed?

  • Where should we focus follow-up to protect cash flow?

Project Snapshot

Project Snapshot gives you a clearer view of project health by bringing together billing, collections, contract, and profitability signals in one place. It helps you quickly spot jobs that look healthy, moderate-risk, or at-risk so your team can focus attention where it matters most.

Use it to answer questions like:

  • Which projects need attention right now?

  • Where are we underbilled or overbilled?

  • Which jobs have outstanding collections or change order risk?

  • How is each project trending overall?

Time to Payment

Time to Payment helps you understand how quickly billing turns into cash. It shows payment speed trends across customers, PMs, and offices so you can spot slow-paying accounts, compare performance, and prioritize collection efforts more strategically.

Use it to answer questions like:

  • How long does it usually take us to get paid?

  • Which customers are the slowest to pay?

  • Which PMs or offices are tied to longer payment cycles?

  • Are payment times getting better or worse?

How these reports work together

Each report answers a different part of the same financial picture:

Together, these reports help you move from visibility to action, whether you are monitoring operations, managing collections, planning cash flow, or reviewing project performance.

Additional downloadable reports

In addition to Siteline’s core reports, you can also export downloadable reports that help you dig deeper into vendor waiver activity and pending change order exposure.

Vendor Export Report

The Vendor Export Report gives your team a downloadable view of outstanding vendor lien waiver activity, plus project- and vendor-level summary data you can use to spot trends and follow up faster.

Use it to answer questions like:

  • Which vendor waivers are still outstanding?

  • Which signed waivers still need to be submitted or reviewed?

  • Which projects have the most open waiver requests?

  • Which vendors are the fastest to return waivers?

  • Are outstanding vendor waivers slowing down collections?

Pending CO Export Report

The Pending CO Export Report gives your team a downloadable view of open and not-yet-fully-incorporated change order activity across projects. It helps you see pending change order value, compare original and revised contract amounts, and identify which jobs may need closer follow-up.

Use it to answer questions like:

  • How much pending change order value do we have right now?

  • Which projects have the most unapproved or outstanding change order exposure?

  • Are we proceeding with work before a change order is fully executed?

  • Which approved change orders still have not been added to the SOV?

  • How much has contract value changed from original to revised?

Report Builder

Report Builder lets you create custom Excel reports from Siteline data by choosing the columns you want, saving the report for reuse, and exporting it on demand.

Use it to answer questions like:

  • Can I combine billing and aging data in one report?

  • Can I pull project, PM, and financial fields into one export?

  • Can I save a custom report and run it again later?

  • Can I create a spreadsheet for monthly leadership reporting?

  • Can I export the exact fields I need without combining multiple reports manually?
