Reporting in Siteline

Written by Bradley LaFave

Siteline’s Reporting tool gives you a real-time, at-a-glance look at the current state of your billing, collections, and outstanding lien waivers. Admins have access to all company projects. If you are not an Admin, you will only see information and totals for jobs you have access to.

The Overview tab

The Overview tab contains four modules:

  • Billed this month, which shows the gross amount and retention held for submitted billings

  • Projects billed, which shows the number of projects that are billing that month, those that have opted out of billing, and their statuses

  • Pay apps outstanding, which shows an aging overview (30/60/90/120 days) for your accounts receivable

  • Vendor lien waivers outstanding, which shows the number of unsigned vendor lien waivers that you’ve requested but not yet received

Click on View report to drill down to billing data by project. For the Vendor lien waivers outstanding module, you can click to jump right to the lien waiver tracker.

On all three of the Overview, Billing and A/R aging tabs, you will be able to filter the data you see by Project Type, Office or Lead PM. Within the Billing and A/R aging tabs, you will also be able to use a search bar to find data.

The Billing tab

Here you can see billing totals (number of projects billed, amount billed this month, amount in draft, total retention held) and a breakdown of each month’s billing by project.

Projects in italics are in draft (not yet submitted). Past due pay apps will have a red dot next to the project number. Projects that are not billing that month will have an “x” as the value in the Billing this month column. You can click on any project’s name in order to go to that project in Siteline.

The A/R aging tab

Here you can see A/R totals — dollar amount of pay apps outstanding, total amount outstanding over 120 days, and average time to paid over the last 6 months — and a breakdown of aging by project. You can adjust the middle card to highlight the total >30, >60, >90 or >120 days outstanding.

By default, aging data in Siteline is calculated based on the date that marks the end of the billing period. If you would like to calculate aging based on the invoice date, you can make this change in your company settings.

From the company settings, click Edit, and then change the A/R Aging Calculation setting.

You can click on any project’s name in order to go to that project in Siteline.
