Siteline integrates directly with ComputerEase. Your team builds and submits pay apps in Siteline, collects lien waivers, and tracks over/under billing, while ComputerEase stays your system of record for accounting.
How the integration works
Jobs, AIA schedules of values, and tax codes flow from ComputerEase into Siteline when you set up a project.
You bill and submit pay apps in Siteline.
Each pay app flows back into ComputerEase as an A/R invoice, which your team reviews and posts.
Payments recorded in ComputerEase mark pay apps paid in Siteline.
A/P vouchers, job costs, and commitments from ComputerEase power vendor lien waivers and over/under billing in Siteline.

What Siteline reads from ComputerEase
Jobs → projects
Siteline lists your active ComputerEase jobs so you can create projects from them, one at a time or in bulk.
ComputerEase data | How it appears in Siteline |
Job name | Project name |
Job number | Internal project number |
Owner's project number | Project number, from the AIA schedule |
Customer | General contractor, with its address |
Job address | Project address |
PO number | Contract number |
Retention percent | Contract retention |
Payment terms | Net payment terms |
Sales tax code | Tax group |
AIA schedules → schedules of values
Siteline imports the lines of the job's AIA progress billing schedule as the project's schedule of values, including its groups and change order lines. On projects already underway, each line comes in with what was billed to date in ComputerEase, so you can pick up billing in Siteline where you left off.
Lines marked taxable on the AIA schedule get the schedule's sales tax code as their tax group, and the others come in untaxed. You can change any line's tax group in Siteline.
Best practice: keep each job's AIA schedule up to date in ComputerEase. Siteline reads it whenever you import or refresh the schedule of values.
A/R payments → paid pay apps
Siteline reads the payments recorded in ComputerEase against the job's invoices to the project's customer, whether Siteline wrote them, they came from an AIA application, or your team entered them in ComputerEase, and marks the matching pay apps paid. Partial payments are recorded as partially paid. A voided invoice and the void that cancels it don't count as payments.
Vendors and A/P vouchers → vendor lien waivers
Siteline reads your vendor list and the A/P vouchers posted to each job, along with the checks that paid them. Voucher and payment amounts fill in vendor lien waivers, and you can preload all your A/P at once.
Job costs → over/under billing
Siteline reads cost to date and estimated cost for each job, including labor burden and open commitments, along with your cost codes, cost types, subcontracts, and purchase orders. These power Siteline's over/under billing reports.
What Siteline writes to ComputerEase
Pay apps → A/R invoices
When you sync a pay app, Siteline creates an unposted freeform invoice in ComputerEase for the job's customer.
Siteline billing data | Result in ComputerEase |
Invoice number | Invoice number, or ComputerEase's next number if left blank |
Invoice and due dates | Invoice and due dates |
SOV lines billed | One invoice line per line billed this period |
Retention held | Retention on the invoice |
Retention released | Its own invoice line |
Sales tax | Lines with a tax group in Siteline are taxable, under the ComputerEase tax code linked to that tax group |
Phases and categories | Job distributions, so revenue lands on the right cost codes |
Invoices arrive unposted. Your team reviews them in ComputerEase's Freeform Invoices screen and posts them, so nothing reaches your receivables or general ledger without your approval. Before writing an invoice, Siteline runs the same checks ComputerEase does, for example that the invoice number isn't already used for that customer.
Connection & configuration notes
Connection type. Siteline connects directly to ComputerEase through the Siteline Connector, installed on a Windows computer that has access to your ComputerEase data. No third-party service sits in between.
ComputerEase user. The connector signs in with a ComputerEase user account, so you control what it can access.
Billing types. Lump sum projects are supported. Time and materials and unit price projects aren't synced yet.
Sales tax. Tax groups are applied to individual line items, the way ComputerEase marks each AIA schedule line taxable or not. Each invoice carries one sales tax code, so a pay app billing line items with different tax groups can't be synced.
AIA screens. Siteline writes freeform invoices, so ComputerEase's own AIA progress billing screens aren't updated for pay apps billed in Siteline. Receivables, the general ledger, and job billing reports reflect the invoices once posted.
Retention. ComputerEase holds retention for the whole invoice, so retention tracked per line in Siteline is written as a single amount.
Multiple ERP contracts. A Siteline project can be linked to several ComputerEase contracts (AIA schedules). Each SOV line belongs to one of them, and each pay app syncs as one freeform invoice per contract.
Change orders. Change orders added to the job's AIA schedule come into Siteline when you import change orders or refresh the schedule of values. Change orders kept on a separate AIA schedule aren't pulled in, and change orders aren't written back to ComputerEase.
