Add a vendor to a project

Written by Bradley LaFave

If you are working with vendors or lower-tier subcontractors on a project, you can add them to the project on Siteline to easily request their lien waivers or other requirement documents. This article walks you through the process of adding new vendors to a project on Siteline.

ℹ️ In Siteline, the “Vendors” module is the home for managing anything related to vendors or lower-tier subcontractors you work with. To keep things simple, Siteline refers to both as “vendors” throughout the platform.

  4. The first section includes a list of vendors assigned to this project. To add one or more new vendors, click the Add vendors to project button in the top right.

  5. Type in the name of the company. If you’ve added this company to another project before, it may show up in the dropdown; otherwise, you can click Add [company name] to add them for the first time.

  6. Click Add to project to add the new vendor(s) to the project.

Adding vendors while adding lien waivers

If you use an integration to determine which lien waivers to request, you can use this method to add vendors to a project. You can see more details under Using your integration to add lien waiver requests on our Request lower-tier lien waivers article.

Adding third-tier vendors

  1. If you'd like to request lien waivers or other documents from third-tier vendors, you can add them under the second-tier vendor. Hover over the second-tier vendor's name to add their sub-tier vendors.

💡 Lien waivers can be requested at any time from a project’s vendors on the Lien waivers tab in the Vendors module. Other required documents can be set up in the project’s Settings tab, and can be required of any or all vendors on the project.
