Add a lump sum or unit price project to Siteline

Siteline allows you to add projects at any time, whether payment applications will be submitted to your GC via email, Textura, Procore, or GCPay. You can add projects to Siteline, even if pay apps have already been submitted for the project.

This article is for projects with pay apps that will be submitted via email through Siteline. For projects with integrations, refer to this article for instructions: Import a project to Siteline from an integration

Step-by-step instructions

  1. From the Billing module, click the + New project button in the upper-right corner of the page.

  2. To create a single project, you will first select your project type from the dialogue box. For the rest of this tutorial, we will be onboarding a lump sum project.

  3. Enter information for your new project. Be sure to include all mandatory fields (indicated with *).

  4. Once all of your project information has been entered, click Create project in the upper-right corner of the page.

    *We just walked through adding project information for a single project. You also have the option to bulk import projects. Select "bulk import' button on top right (shown in step 2). Import in batches based on project type using our import template. Note: project type cannot be edited after import.

  5. Now you'll set up the remaining details for each project. On the project’s Setup page, the first step is to confirm your GC and GC's address.

  6. The second step is to set up your forms (pay apps, primary waivers, etc.). Pay app forms are mandatory (i.e. invoices, AIA's). You can skip vendor lien waiver and change order forms for now if you’d like to get straight to billing. For more information on how forms work, please see adding new forms to Siteline.

  7. You will import or enter your schedule of values in step 3. You can choose to upload an Excel file using Siteline’s SOV import template or manually enter your schedule of values directly in the browser window. Follow the instructions in Siteline for using our import template.

  8. Complete steps 4 and 5 following the prompts, or click Skip if this information is not yet available. This information can be updated after the project is created. Step 6 will expand after 4 and 5 are completed or skipped.

  9. Click + Create pay app in step 6 and a dialog will appear. Enter the requested information and click Create.

  10. You've now successfully added a new project to Siteline! From here, you can start billing for the month, attach backup, or move on to adding your next project. Happy billing!
